Australian artist Cabu transmits some of that southern hemisphere summer into his warm, easy-living single ‘Crazy’, the first to be shared from his upcoming EP, Twenty Three, set for release via Majestic Records next year. With the sparkling laid-back vibe of London’s Tom Misch, this Sydney beatmaker and producer makes a wonderful contribution to this field of ambient-groove. Featuring the smooth vocal delivery of Love Mansuy, ‘Crazy’ is a steady jam that tips this way and that in the most subtle of developments, making it a really very clever piece of production. There’s obvious moments of change, such as the trap and half-rap final verse and stripped-back outro, again just showing how much complexity has gone into this track. - HT
